DO NOT RECOMMEND Our experience with Boardwalk Realty and their agent, Simone Himes, was an absolute nightmare from start to finish. It quickly became obvious she had zero interest in representing our best interests or advocating for us. She let the seller pressure us into skipping necessary repairs and pushed us to settle rather than protect our position. Her passive aggressive attitude was maddening and the company defended her behavior instead of holding her accountable, leaving us stuck with the fallout. Simone demanded a whopping $4,000 in earnest money to lock us into a terrible contract, which we eventually had to terminate just four days before closing losing the money because of her unprofessional mistakes. When I told her I’d talked to another realtor who found out she never included essential contingencies—no loan, appraisal, or inspection protections, she became enraged. This reckless oversight, combined with her rude and unsupportive behavior, made us feel bullied and completely abandoned. Even after contacting the company owner, the “compensation” offered was laughably small compared to our losses. Save yourself the headache and stay far away from Boardwalk Realty. They will only cause more stress than any real estate process should ever require.

Our experience with Simone Himes of Boardwalk Realty, the buyer’s real estate agent, was unfortunately far from what we hoped for in a collaborative real estate transaction. Throughout the process, communication was strained and often passive-aggressive, which made negotiations unnecessarily tense and inefficient. More concerning, she showed little initiative in negotiating terms that would benefit their client or foster goodwill with the seller. When a mutual agreement was made between buyer and seller—an important aspect of ensuring both sides felt respected and heard—it was not upheld by her, with no meaningful effort to correct or acknowledge the situation. Professionalism and transparency are vital in any real estate interaction, and regrettably, this experience lacked both. As sellers, we were left frustrated and disappointed by the lack of integrity and engagement from the buyer’s agent. We hope future clients encounter a more proactive and ethical approach than what was displayed in this transaction.
