POISED: For starters Thelma is very composed, calm & graceful. Not only in appearance but in her actions. As a first time home buyer it is important that your Realtor has patience and understands that this experience is overwhelming. You’re hit with tasks, terms & jargon you’ve never done or heard before and if they don’t respect that you’ll find yourself having to google what everything means. She understood that this was a learning process and still managed to teach & make it fun too. She knows that this is a major accomplishment & one of the biggest purchasing you will make in your life. She exhibiting a sense of control & guidance that assured all of us that we were on the right path. PREPARED: She plans everything to a tee. I was so impressed by her time management. If we are going to look at 6 houses, you best believe she has strategically mapped out the entire timeframe. She had a print-out of each home with a time on each one so we knew how long it will take to get to each house, calculation for the possibility of traffic, as well as how long it will take to view the inside/outside of the home. She also listens & observes. I showed her about 2 houses I liked and from then on, every house she sent me was exactly what I would’ve personally picked. I didn’t have to do nothing. PROFESSIONAL: A little bit of transparency here. So I wasnt approved for a lot. What I’ve noticed in the past is some Realtors only go above & beyond for buyers that are in the $300k & up range OR if you are in the lower range, they try to rush you into just about anything to get the process over with. You can feel the lack of enthusiasm & support. It hurts so bad & drains you to where you don’t want to buy at all. She didn’t make us feel less-than based off the approval amount. She treated us as if we were million dollar buyers. I took my children to every house we viewed. I just wanted them to experience it with me, as well as have a say-so in which home we choose. I also wanted them to know what to expect when they get older & buy their own homes. It was a family affair. She made us feel alive, happy, and as if it was the BEST investment ever no matter the price! She even had my son interacting.Trust me, he does not do that. He is very laid back and quiet. She had him laughing, playing in the yard and even opening her car doors for her. The cutest moment ever. Thelma is remarkable!! What a GREAT experience! Definitely referring others to her and calling her when Im ready to buy again.
